In contact with Firka, about half of a circular tower survives from the original port fortification, built by the Genoese at the beginning of the 13<sup>th<\/sup> century.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"itemFullText\">\n<p class=\"a\">The tower was incorporated into the later fortifications. Next to the tower there is the church and the Monastery of San Salvatore which gave the name to this part of the fortifications. Above the bastion there is the homonymous four-sided bastion which together with Firka Fortress covered the area of \u200b\u200bthe sea and a part of the western side of the fortifications.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On the northwest part of the Venetian fortifications is the San Salvatore bastion, who took the name from the homonymous church and monastery located on the area.
