Chalepa
It is located in the northeast of the city of Chania, outside the Venetian fortifications. It began to develop in the middle of the 19th century and became better known by the homonymous “Agreement of Aleppo” of 1878. It was an aristocratic suburb, as it housed the consulates of Foreign Powers, the Palace, the house of Venizelos and other buildings – monuments of another era.
